EARLY
YEARS
I was born in Miami, Florida, and raised by Dominican immigrant parents. I grew up with a front-row seat to their determination + resilience in business + walked away with a strong work ethic that has continued to grow. My parents inspired me to become the entrepreneur + leader I am today.
When I was ten years old, I tragically lost my mother. That loss changed the trajectory of my life forever. You can read more about that chapter of my story, how I overcame the struggle of losing my mom, + how I have honored her legacy with Motherless Queens.

I went to college at Florida A&M, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations + met my forever sweetheart, Chris Hope, a Florida State Seminole that was drafted to the Pittsburgh Steelers. My husband played in the NFL for 11 consecutive seasons + retired soon after our daughter, Crislyn was born. Perfect timing! We landed in Nashville, TN, + decided to make it our official home in 2013 for our family of 4. Read more about our love story HERE.

As a mother of 2 young children who needed better skincare options for sensitive skin, I started my clean living journey in 2015, shortly after transitioning out of my career as a Realtor. Once I realized how many harmful chemicals were in our everyday personal care products, I started looking for less toxic products for our entire family. I was introduced to Beautycounter through a friend + immediately knew I was on the right path.

I launched my business with Beautycounter (a B Corp) to provide access to safer beauty products that perform for my community + advocate for better practices + regulations within the beauty industry. I also enjoy empowering my team + business partners to flourish by using their God-given gifts. I LOVE being a part of this fantastic community of change agents. It has completely changed the way I live and see the beauty industry - an industry I fell in love with at a very young age.
